Legalising the Gestapo
You heard it today in the Fiji Village.
The goons in power are sick of no one caring about how powerful or omnipotent they are. So what do they do?
They form a Security Council and the Fiji Intelligence Services.
The first isn’t really a biggie since the Military Council is it by proxy. They make policy decisions for everyone and decide who is to stay free and who is not.
The second scares me a lot. An intelligence service formed the junta to look after Fiji’s security. Of course it will be used to monitor people en masse and keep everybody scared. Thats what the Gestapo did in Nazi Germany. Thats what the STASI did in East Germany.
Now an intelligence service is not a bad thing. Intelligence services around the world seek to protect their countries by monitoring threats and activities. But with the way Fiji’s junta is going, they are going to create it for the sole purpose of supressing the Fijian people. They have their undercover soldiers walking around sticking their big ugly noses into everyone elses business. This is formalising that into a more sinister organisation.
I noted the words from Mr Epeli “$50″ Ganilau.
“to concentrate on national security matters like espionage, sabotage, seditious intentions, foreign intervention and terrorism.”
Espionage – like planning and plotting to overthrow the government in December 2006.
Sabotage – like planning and plotting to overthrow the government in December 2006
Seditious intentions – like planning and plotting to over…………..Oh you get the idea!
Trust me, don’t believe this was well planned. Since the revelations made by the major newspapers regarding Chaudhry’s tax evasion, this would be a perfect fit for the Security Council and intelligence service. It would allow them to monitor, contain and inflict severe punishment on their enemies or whenever someone wanted to break a story regarding their unscrupulous dealings.
Fijians watch out. This is possibly the start of something really bad.

You need a bloody hiding – TWF
I said it to the interim Prime Minister. I just made threatening and inciteful comments against him. Where is Teleni with his force to come and take me to task? If you don’t get my title, see today’s Fiji Village.
I can’t believe the people like Bubu, SV and the rest have been blogging from Fiji, yet the so called crackdown against bloggers hasn’t even found them. Try and find me you fuckwits.
But back to the story at hand. In all his wisdom, the interim Prime Minister has said that Bose ni Turaga (BT) cannot have their meeting to discuss theKrishnamurthi report, mahogany harvesting and landowner returns. Apparently they need a permit to hold it because it a public rally.
Just try and step on these chiefs, you nub. This is the Vanua flexing their muscle against the RFMF and interim government’s nonsense. So as soon as he hears there will be less than positive things said, he readies his goons with their M16’s ready to fire on their OWN chiefs. How can a meeting inside a building and conference centre be a public rally? Its an organised meeting of a organised group who seek to discuss issues. Not protest or anything.
Trust me, Bainimarama is doing this to prove a point but doesn’t realise the repurcussions. He has no idea how influential and guiding the chiefs of Fiji are. Somewhere in his mind, he is deluding himself. He thinks that because he usurped the GCC, that no one cares about their chiefs. Or everyone will suddenly flock to him to look for guidance.
Yeah right. The Fijian never will forget their chiefs and their guiding/spiritual influence. Trample and hurt them and you might find the RFMF facing their own people.

They conveniently forget
Finally, that mentally inept Attorney-General finally opens his mouth for the first time in ages. Shame that all the birds flew away and animals started to howl in pain.
He mentioned that the interim government did not breach any court order regarding the deportation of Fiji Sun editor Russell Hunter. In fact they are still unaware of the fact there was a court order.
Typical of this bunch. When their ‘enemies’ are targetted, night court sessions and the full force is used. No discretion and the outbursts are continual. The crucial pieces in the puzzle go missing. Then when it comes for the explanation, they were ‘conveniently’ unaware of what was going on. Pricks.
However, when their lot feels the heat its a different story. They condemn everyone, get advice from the FHRC Commissioner, evidence turns up left, right and centre to prove everyone wrong.
The High Court gave the order and they were bound by it. Not doing so is breaking the law and compromising the ability of the judiciary to do their job. Selective applications of the law are evidence of endemic interference, corruption and favouritism. One for the Fijian populace, one for the tards. They have flagrantly broken the law and will not even allow Mr Hunter to return to defend himself.
Of course that knob Khaiyum says they haven’t been served yet with the notice. The retards in power went around firing civil servants and didn’t even give them their termination notices.
So that would mean they are still entitled to their jobs. Right?

Qarase shall fight on
Leading from my article about the deportation of the Fiji Sun publisher, I have to laugh at FICAC taking Laisenia Qarase in and charging him.
They couldn’t find anything while he was in power, so they dragged up his past. Of course they have absolutely no evidence against him. Why the hell did they need to interview him three times in order to get the information? If they had substantial and devestating evidence, then why so secretive? Why the need to interview so many times? Not to mention that, a special late night court sitting was used. Another waste of taxpayer money.
How much money is the interim government spending on all these frivolous cases against other people? Vendettas against people who held no malice against the RFMF and interim government prior to December 2006. I never heard Qarase want to kill, shut down or make miseries of the lives of the people currently pulling the strings. He was always open to dialogue and even made concessions to the Commander when the two had talks in New Zealand prior to the coup.
But Qarase is a fighter. Fijians should rally behind all those who have been wronged or accused by the pigs in power. They should get out and support them. The Fijian sitting at home shouldn’t be saying “it isn’t my chief, my family or myself, so why should I support them?”
The reason why is because maybe not now or in the immediate future. But sometime someone close to you will be hurt and trampled on by those with the guns. And believe me, it doesn’t take much.
* Note: Usually the diversionary tactic is strong enough to divert the focus away from the main issue. However in this case the media have been stepped on so much that its their perogative to force this one through. They know why the Qarase incident happened and not that stupid. Beware of the media. They can be your worst enemy.

Beddoes resigns, council loses more respect
‘Maulin’ Mick has resigned from that abberation of a council called the National Cunthole for Bloody Breaking Fiji. Or better known in the media as NCBBF.
I had my doubts when he joined thinking he turned the other cheek. But obviously the events of the last few days and even month, has made him change his mind.
I can also see more people leaving the council for greener pastures. It is seen to represent people at the grassroots level rather than some elitist council that looks after those in power.
Also the council has lost a major standing individual. Who is left? The interim government and their cronies. A few people who represent interest bodies but nothing much else. Its hardly a representative view of Fiji’s people.

Poor bastard
Hearing about how the publisher of the Fiji Sun was deported really made my blood boil. The word ‘bastard’ in Australia and New Zealand is a term of endearment rather than insult. I really felt sorry for the way he was treated. Treated like a circus animal.
And what do we get from our regular parrots in the RFMF, Police and interim government.
“We didn’t know”
“There was a good reason”
Yeah right. They knew everything. Most likely Mahendra Chaudhry couldn’t take heat and snapped. Deport this guy, arrest this guy, charge this guy. Like the ‘assassination plot’ was a coverup for the murder soldiers being held back to be charged, the deporting of Hunter and charging of Qarase is the revenge or cover for Chaudhry’s crimes.
And the nutter that is our interim Prime Minister says media freedom is secure. But that little statement was qualified with a massive list of conditions. He took massive swipes at the media for their sensationalist, biased and unbalanced reporting. They should be accurate, balanced and informative according to him.
Yeah and they’re not doing that now? Shit, they are reporting what you are too scared to admit publically. Shows that he really has no idea what he is talking about. Or that contradiction of an Attorney-General (who has been rather quiet recently) who goes and says the most conflicting and hypocritcal toff that ever was to grace the public speaking circuit.
Then that tart of an Ombudsman/Human Rights Commissioner who supports Chaudhry as if she was his ‘two bit’ dick sucking slave. Fancy that. She goes on about how innocent Chaudhry is and how he should fight this. Giving sound advice eh? Then when that ‘poor bastard’ Hunter gets deported, she refers to the constitutional passage (the only time she actually acknowledges the constitution) and gives a lame answer. Says to me, you don’t care sweetheart. Or sourpuss.
Everyone is demanding that Chaudhry resign or step down so investigations can take place. Chiefs, union leaders, NGO’s and the educated class. But of course the highly uneducated (yes look at their qualifications) RFMF and interim government who consider themselves commoners think they are the ‘untouchables’ The elite who cannot be harassed, charged or questioned.
Oh and by the way Bainimarama is meeting with some senior representatives of the United States and Commonwealth tomorrow. They are discussing Fiji’s move towards elections. Bainimarama in all his wisdom mentioned that we are moving towards elections but to understand Fiji’s plight and situation. They must understand that Fiji is in a bad way and must be bought through the guidance of the RFMF and interim government towards the light.
We have to pay for the bullshit the RFMF, interim government and cronies have created. Do you really think that those people are that stupid? His lack of respect for people shows as he lies to them. The more you lie, the less respect you get. They are there probably for a laugh. Also remember these representatives would have read the headlines in the last few days and seen that Bainimarama is not genuine about anything. A raving lunatic.

The sweet candy
Some contributors to this blog have been asking me to disclose the documents handed to me regarding the comments that Chaudhry made on his trip(s) to India.
I am sorry to give you the bad news, but it would be foolhardy of me to do so. These documents come from sources so close to the RFMF and interim government that it would compromise their position on intelligence gathering. They would be persecuted or worse still.
But here is a snippet of what he said (edited to protect my sources):
“The average Indian in Fiji is struggling. Currently we have an administration who is friendly to the Indian populace and will provide them protection. However the indigenous population is very hostile and violence is inevitable. No one can trust the chiefs but to ensure the survival of the Indians, we need all the help from you.”
and
“The Fijian is not of the correct frame of mind to run their own affairs. Their immaturity at running a country and business requires a guiding hand in the form of strong leadership such as of the military.”
There were some sentences and words that were edited, but the gist of it is there. When it safe to reveal more, then I will do so.

Class struggle
The latest press conference or flame fest that Bainimarama held on Sunday has highlighted how he and Chaudhry wish to portray the coup.
The notions of class struggle seem to be in the mix all the time. Its always the commoners versus the elite.
The commoners in the eyes of Bainimarama happen to be the interim government, RFMF and their cronies.
The elite are the chiefs, lawyers, NGO’s and the educated class of Fiji.
Every time it seems the elite have ‘hoodwinked (jesus that word gets uttered everywhere) the commoners and are usurping their rights. Taking away their money and their land. The commoners are the ‘battlers’ The little guy who is standing up against the big mean angry elitist monsters.
It could not be any further from the truth.
The so called commoners in the form that I have described seem to be the elite. They have all the power and control. The highest salaries for any employee go their way and all their cronies. They make all the policy decisions for us and never want to hear our voice. The judiciary is stacked in their favour to ensure the best possible outcome (believe me, these bastards shop for judges like there is no tomorrow). All the privileges, pomp and ceremony is accorded to these so called ‘kings’.
The so called elite are the commoners. Standing up for ordinary folk when they are accused of everything and denied their rights. Sure some of these people are wealthy in their own right. But they have never flaunted their wealth or power like those who call themselves ‘commoners. People like Graham Leung and Ratu Joni Mandarawiwi face obstacles higher than the Universe to ensure they are heard and are represented. They are understated but have a presence that none of the RFMF or interim government will ever have.
Continuing on with this theme is the idea that chiefs such as the one listed above as well as Ro Teimumu Kepa are devious and seeking to undermine the Vanua. They say that they have done more for the Vanua than anyone prior to them.
Lets compare:
Ro Teimumu Kepa – in a time of need such as the December 2006 coup, she stood up and represented not only ‘her lot’ but all right minded Fijians. She gave direction and leadership in a time of need.
Commander Bainimarama – committed an act of treason in that same month. He has constantly attacked and accused all Fijians of conspiring against him. Worse still, he has gone and undermined the Vanua with Chaudhry in tow. Why should someone who continues to destroy the indigenous peoples and their country, be their highest representative in the GCC?
Ro Teimumu for GCC Prez!

Where Fiji has stood
Fiji as most of you will probably know (hopefully for humour’s sake) was a British Colony. Fijians have fought and died under the Union Jack. We were once part of that power the British Empire. A fair proportion of Indians (not all of course) have always despised the British Empire and what it stood for. Granted it wasn’t the best people to be ruled by and they did do some bad things in their time.
It has been always back to the Indian struggle before they gained independence. The Raj for many Indians was a symbol of oppression. But Indians in Fiji cannot claim they have any linkage with what happened over there. What happened there was different to Fiji. But their long hatred for Britain goes back to that fact.
They disliked the British to no end right up until Fiji’s independence in 1970. They hated the way they were being ruled and the fact the Fijians were given special rights accorded to them as the Vanua. Few Indians in Fiji served overseas and this was seen to be a slur on their loyalty to Fiji and the Empire.
But of course they cried when the coup happened in 1987. They wanted the protection and support from Britain to ensure they were not marginalised.
You cannot just ask for help when you feel like. Mutual respect is an important part of life.
Fiji has always stood close to her neighbours Australia and New Zealand. She has stood less closer but in equal importance with countries such as the United States, Canada and of course Britain. The Western Alliance was Fiji’s protection during the Cold War. We have been fortunate to stand by close with these countries during the trying times and the good times. Remember India was not going to the rescue of Fiji during the Cold War. She would have to relied on the Australians and the New Zealanders to put their hand up as in years gone by.
Our connections with these countries are important. Our families live there. We watch and play rugby in these countries. Most of our trade is done with these countries and they sit on major air routes which feed Fiji’s tourism industry. They are English speaking and we have reasonably good access to them. They have been the major parties who have donated aid and support to Fiji.
We’re coming to a stage where the relations with the countries that have stood with Fiji for a long time are being strained to a permanently damaged state. Fiji is now sliding towards relationships with countries that it has never known. Countries who’s relationships come with a price tag (i.e. Fiji does not just get something for free). If Fiji was to get into major strife, do you think countries such as China and India would come full steam to help? I don’t think so.
We have stood with our traditional allies through so much. Its not worth damaging that so the ego’s of the RFMF and interim government can be stroked.

A grim future…
I had a listen to the pure vitriol that Bainimarama spouted out at today’s press conference. Of course he has hasn’t the intelligence or the ability to write or conjure something like that. But the intent and power tripping was there.
The sad thing is that like every other thing that comes this way, everyone gets blamed or is under the pump. They are perfect and we are not. Over the next few days we may see numerous people being taken in for ‘questioning’ and mass arrests around the place. Who knows? All sorts of people will be done in to deflect the issue at hand. Just like the assassination plot. Look to see the assassination plot accused, chiefs and high ranking Fijians to be bought in. All in the name of hiding the crimes perpetrated by the junta.
The most important thing to come out is that Chaudhry is innocent. He is pure according to the boss. The evidence is right there blatantly standing there. I feel sorry for the poor people who blew the whistle and now going to be intimidated and harassed. Their lives are going to be made a living hell because they did the right thing. They stood up and spoke out when nobody else did.
I have a copy of the tax file and it does not look pretty reading at all. I have legal training in tax investigation and I have been poring over this for the last few weeks. The evidence is brutal and a stunning indictment on Chaudhry. Sadly that taxation amnesty may have been the legal loophole he was looking for. But the worse thing is the information I have regarding the donations that provided the backbone of the $1.6 million that has been noted.
People probably with no known connection to Fiji have donated willingly in the name of the ‘Indian’ cause. He has deliberately pocketed it and no one is the wiser. I have read some of the vitriol that Chaudhry has spouted off against the Fijians while he was in India. You almost shed a tear reading the stuff that has been passed on to me. It really is sickening and the Vanua is been openly mocked and ridiculed. If I was to distribute it to the villagers, they would break down in tears (yes, even grown men).
Our future is been dictated by this lot. It is grim.
Praying will do us no good. Its time for us to make a stand.
